Serves 3

Prep time 30 minutes


Maggi garlic packet
2 tbs of Maggi spicy????stock 
6 chicken drumsticks 
1/2 cup light soy sauce 
1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar 
2 tbsp. tomato paste (ketchup)
3 garlic cloves grated or pressed 
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
Red pepper flakes to taste
2 fennel bulbs 
1 small butternut squash 


Preheat the oven to 350°C and cover a baking sheet.

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the sauce (except for chicken). Whisk very well. Add chicken drumsticks and mix them in sauce, coating them all over. Let them sit in the bowl for 10-15 minutes.

Arrange chicken drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet and pour remaining sauce over drumsticks. Bake for 15 minutes and then flip each drumstick on the other side for even baking. Bake for another 15 minutes. (Bake time here will depend on the size of your drumstick. Make a small cut into the thickest part of the drumstick to make sure that it’s cooked through.)

Chop the fennel and pumpkin into slices and roast with olive oil salt, pepper and paprika. Serve.
